ABOUT STEPHAN GERSCHEWSKI

Dr. Stephan Gerschewski is Associate Professor in Management at Peking University HSBC Business School in Oxford, where he teaches and researches entrepreneurship, management, and international business topics. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Genos Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.With over 18 years of experience in the Education sector, Dr. Gerschewski has worked in and collaborated with institutions and organisations in Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, and the UK. His research interests include international entrepreneurship, born global firms & international SMEs, export performance & strategy, and cross-cultural management. He has published multiple papers in journals, such as Journal of World Business, Management International Review, and International Business Review. Dr. Gerschewski received the Emerald Literati Award for the 2017 Most Outstanding Paper published in Review of International Business & Strategy. In addition, he received the Best Paper Award for the track \'SMEs, Entrepreneurship, and Born Global\' at the 2012 Academy of International Business (AIB) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, USA.Dr. Gerschewski is Co-Editor of International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research and Associate Editor of Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, which are two leading academic publications in his field. Prior to this, he worked as Associate Editor of European Management Journal and as Senior Editor of European Journal of International Management. He serves on the Editorial Board of various journals, including International Marketing Review, Multinational Business Review, and International Journal of Human Resource Management.In terms of his practical experience as an entrepreneur, Dr. Gerschewski was the Co-Founder and CEO of an artisan candlemaker, which produced organic, handmade, and scented products. He is passionate about creating value and joy for his customers, students, and colleagues.
