ABOUT STEPHAN COLLISHAW
Writer, publisher and educator. My novels The Last Girl and Amber have been translated into a number of languages. The Song of the Stork came out in March 2017 followed by A Child Called Happiness in May 2018. I have also published articles, reviews and interviews including with the Lithuanian poet and dissident Tomas Venclova and YBA, Tracey Emin. In 2016 I established Noir Press which specialises in publishing contemporary Lithuanian literary fiction. It is the only publisher in the UK to publish living Lithuanian novelists in English. It\'s line up includes some of the best Lithuanian writers writing today: Laura Sintija Cerniauskaite, Rasa Askinyte, Grigory Kanovich, Renata Serelyte, Jaroslavas Melnikas. Kanovich\'s powerful novel \'Devilspel\' won the EBRD Literature Prize. I have worked as a teacher for twenty years teaching in a variety of contexts including various schools in the UK, in Lithuania and in Spain. I\'m passionate about learning and achievement. Currently I\'m working as Deputy Headteacher at an inner-city school in Nottingham.
