ABOUT STENIO DE ARAUJO
Stenio’s legal career began in 2009 when he qualified in Brazil after passing the National Bar Examination (OAB). He served as Strategic Attorney at a leading Brazilian law firm, overseeing complex litigation for clients in the telecommunications, healthcare, food, and textile sectors. He also advised international clients, including British investors, on cross-border matters through a partnership with Martinez-Echevarría Abogados in Spain. Between 2021 and 2025, Stenio practised in England and Wales as an employed Registered Foreign Lawyer regulated by the SRA and developed a strong knowledge on consumer finance, data breach and landlord and tenant disputes, having regularly appeared in allocation, application and final hearings. In 2021, he additionally became a Portuguese-qualified European lawyer. Owing to his dual civil and common law experience, Stenio has a particular interest in cross-border litigation and multi-jurisdictional disputes. His areas of interest also include technology-related disputes (particularly involving artificial intelligence, digital assets, and blockchain), intellectual property, and liquidation matters.Having successfully completed the Bar Transfer Test, Stenio was called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in July 2023 and after completing a 3-month practising pupillage under the supervision of Jonathan Miller, he became the first Brazilian lawyer to qualify at the Bar. Stenio is known for his meticulous preparation, clear advocacy, and client-focused approach, placing clients’ objectives at the heart of his work and seeking pragmatic and efficient resolutions either through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
