ABOUT STELLA MEDLICOTT

As CMO, I feel incredibly privileged to be part of the team at Ericsson. It is a team that is passionate not only about what it does, but how it does it. Building our global brand and ensuring all our content, communications and activities benefit our customers but also reflect our vision and values is a critical part of my role and that of my team. As a purpose driven organisation, we know that it is our responsibility to make sure that new and transformative technology makes a positive impact on the world. We understand the role that our technology can play in achieving all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. For example, the ICT sector is uniquely placed to enable a 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in other sectors. Internet access is a fundamental enabler for improving quality of life. But just under half of the global population still has no access to the internet. Working together with our customers, we aim to provide internet access through the roll-out of mobile broadband networks to an additional 500 million people by 2024. But all of this wouldn’t be possible without people and they are truly at the heart of everything; I’m an advocate for building a diverse workforce that creates equal opportunities, supporting personal growth and development and making this the best place to work. As a working mum to a daughter, I also have my own personal interest in Women In Tech / STEM and creating an environment that nurtures girls for the future workplace.
