ABOUT STILJANO RUSTA
Hi, I am Stiljano! I am a new developer but not new in Tech. Since a kid, I had an eagerness for electronics and especially breaking them down to see how they work, something that my parents didn\'t like at all. After growing up as a kid of immigrants parents my dream was to become a football player and relieve them from having to work so hard. Playing football in my teens taught me some of the most invaluable lessons in life. Like believing in myself and being confident even when the odds are against me, working under pressure, and giving my 110% in every training and every match. That\'s the only way to improve yourself, talent is overrated. Following my dream, and not listening to my teachers who told me I should pursue a career in Math. I, somehow, ended up at 19 years old with a knee injury, not able to play football again, and with no academic background. That\'s where I started looking for other career opportunities. My personality got me into Sales, being confident and able to work well in teams helped me excel really fast in this sector, I managed to get several promotions and build my own team in a fast-paced Startup environment while studying for my bachelor\'s at the same time. After I completed my studies I was ready for the next step and a better future (at least, I thought so! Little did I know.). I came to Germany in 2018 and before even getting used to my new life the pandemic came in. Things changed for a lot of us, and for me, a new opportunity arises, to follow what I was told years before by my teachers in high school, not Math, but the logic behind how things work and my curiosity for finding better ways to do things and solve problems. That\'s when I fell in love with coding! It started with a video and a small course in Codecademy, that sparked a flame inside me and it ended up with unnumbered hours and late nights of learning, building stuff, breaking them, and building them again. I literally lost track of time (Einstein was right when he said that time is relative). And here I am, a decade later, being through all those ups and downs but gaining invaluable experience on the way! Ready to start all over again from the beginning. But somehow, instead of being tired and lost after all that I\'ve been through, I feel refreshed and more eager than ever to learn, improve my developer skills and shape my future and the future of the people around me.
