ABOUT STEFY JOSE

With a focus on geotechnical engineering, my recent role at Stantec honed my expertise in soil mechanics and environmental awareness. At Stantec, these competencies are at the forefront of my responsibilities, as I innovate in the field and apply my knowledge to diverse projects. From conducting critical field investigations, sampling, and instrumentation, to designing foundations, developing geological models, and addressing specific project needs, I have contributed to engineering projects across Canada. My technical proficiency has been instrumental in FE modeling of earth structures and providing expert consultation. I also have extensive experience in conducting pit wall stability assessments and optimizing buttress structures. Recently I have been involved with developing Dam Safety Reviews and Mine closure plans. The practical and theoretical experiences gained thus far fuel my dedication to the geotechnical domain. In addition to my professional work, I am pursuing part-time MASc studies at the University of Waterloo, focusing on the long-term thermal performance of energy piles.
