About Steffen Wilson
I am an experienced Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I am skilled in: Classroom Instruction of Adult Learners, Distance Education of Adult Learners, Academic Advising, Career Counseling, Strategic Planning and Educational Outcomes Assessment, Course and Curriculum Design, Development of Junior-Level Employees, Tenure and Promotion of Junior and Senior-Level Employees, Recruitment, Research/Data Collection/Peer-Reviewed Publication, Institutional Review Board management and implementation, management and implementation of a common First Year Reading program (EKU Reads), and public speaking. I have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The University of Georgia. My current research interests are college student university connectedness, distance learning, and Appalachian college students. I have experience supervising both graduate and undergraduate level research and teaching assistants, as well as supervising course facilitators who provide grading assistance in large capacity online courses. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Kentucky. My clinical interests are natural environment instruction that focuses on functional communication training, verbal behavior instruction, individualized functional behavior repertoire instruction, and short-term therapy for families of children and adolescents.
