   I’ve had lots of fun practicing law for the past two-and-a-half decades. I specialize in appellate litigation, chairing the Supreme Court & Appellate Practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC. I’ve had the privilege of handling cases across the country—from the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. to federal and state courts from California to South Dakota to Florida.My clients have included a host of Fortune 100 companies and privately held businesses as well as public officials, employees, unions, religious institutions, students, and even professional athletes like Tom Brady (yes, “Deflategate”). My cases have involved most every area of law—from patent, copyright, and antitrust litigation to sports and the First Amendment. They have also involved most every type of industry—from pharmaceuticals to communications to electric-powered vehicles.Earlier in my career I had the privilege of serving in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, where I advised senior White House and senior Bush Administration officials on complex constitutional, statutory, and separation-of-powers issues. I also served as a Lecturer in Law at The University of Chicago Law School, where I taught Religion & the First Amendment, and was a member of the Supreme Court & Appellate Practice at Mayer Brown.
