ABOUT STEFFANY LEMUS

I am a Human Resources Manager whose mission is to enable a positive, inclusive company culture. This begins during the onboarding process, leading me to enhance the onboarding experience by creating an orientation program to introduce new hires, one on one, to representatives from each department. During a 4-year period of rapid company growth, I personally onboarded 700 employees, leading to an highly engaged workforce. I partner with managers throughout the organization to align HR policies with business goals and forge a collaborative culture through coaching, organizational strategy, and employee engagement. When issues inevitably arise, I work with managers and their direct reports to investigate claims and achieve mutually satisfactory resolutions. In one case, I identified the root cause of cultural insensitivity during calls with clients that was traced to an inappropriate manager and provided the manager coaching to foster his cultural sensitivities. Another time, I resolved a harassment claim by an employee whose manager had left HR out of the process, and tried to handle it himself, which resulted in department-wide dissatisfaction.My expertise in HR operations includes experience in obtaining work visas for global employees, where I worked with outside counsel to obtain H1B, TN & O1 visas for 30 employees as well as 10 Green Card applications. With respect to HR operations, I facilitated the Company’s migration to a new HRIS system by performing data validation, and realized $12K in annual savings by sourcing a new background screening vendor.
