ABOUT STEFANO ENRICO CIRIELLI

Head of Legal Affairs with over 20 years of international experience as in-house counsel and equity partner at global law firms. I feel truly privileged to work for Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), currently as Head of Business Legal Affairs at Fintecna. CDP is the historical Financial Institution controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance which has been promoting the sustainable development of the Country’s economic and industrial system since 1850. I am responsible for all legal aspects of the business of the company: • providing assistance and advice, at a strategic and operational level, to the Business, Operations and the other areas of the company and its affiliates in relation to all their national and international activities, transactions, extraordinary and special projects and general affairs • led and successfully completed a broad spectrum of complex domestic, crossborder and multi-jurisdictional multimillion euro banking and finance, project finance and structured finance, corporate and M&A, real estate, infrastructure, restructuring and winding-up transactions and deals, combining strategic advice with hands-on approach to execution. Before joing CDP, I have worked in private practice as Partner and Head of the Banking & Finance department of two premier international law firms for about eight years. Prior to that, I worked in the London and Milan offices of a magic circle global law firm for about eight years and worked at the Italy’s largest law firm in Rome. I also was In-House Counsel at UniCredit, Loans Syndication desk and Assistant Professor in Private Law at Sapienza University and LUISS University. Graduated in Law with honours from Sapienza University of Rome. Master of Laws (LLM) from University College London. Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SDA Bocconi. Qualified both as Italian ‘avvocato’ and English Solicitor. Frequent lecturer and speaker at various master and postgraduate courses, seminars and conferences. Author of several publications and co-author of 3 books. Member of the Scientific and Academic Committee at 24ORE Business School, Full time Master \"Diritto e Impresa\", and in charge of the \"Banking & Finance\" Module, Milan and Rome. Member of the Scientific and Academic Committee at CAPTHA - School of Banking, and Head of the Master in \"Legal Banking\", Milan and Rome.
