ABOUT STEFANO SACCHI

Sono professore ordinario di Scienza politica nel Dipartimento di Ingegneria Gestionale e della Produzione (DIGEP) del Politecnico di Torino, dove coordino il centro studi Theseus – Tecnologia, Società e Umanità. Sono coordinatore scientifico del nuovo Master in Technology and Public Policy del Politecnico di Torino con il Centro internazionale di formazione dell’Organizzazione internazionale del lavoro (ITC-ILO). I miei interessi di ricerca riguardano la political economy del lavoro e del welfare, e l’impatto socioeconomico e politico del cambiamento tecnologico. Prima del Politecnico di Torino, ho insegnato nell’Università di Milano e alla LUISS Guido Carli di Roma e sono stato Luigi Einaudi Chair scholar a Cornell University, NordWel scholar a Syddansk Universitet, visiting scholar a UC Berkeley e University of Washington. Tra il 2014 e il 2016 sono stato consulente del Ministro del lavoro e delle politiche sociali e della Presidenza del consiglio dei ministri. Tra il 2016 e il 2020 sono stato presidente dell’Istituto Nazionale per l’Analisi delle Politiche Pubbliche (INAPP). I am full professor of Political Science in the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP) at the Polytechnic University of Turin, where I coordinate the Theseus - Technology, Society and Humanity study center. I am scientific coordinator of the new Master in Technology and Public Policy promoted by the Polytechnic of Turin with the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITC-ILO). My research interests include the political economy of labor and welfare, and the socioeconomic and political impact of technological change. Before joining the Politecnico di Torino, I taught at the University of Milan and LUISS Guido Carli in Rome and was Luigi Einaudi Chair scholar at Cornell University, NordWel scholar at Syddansk Universitet, visiting scholar at UC Berkeley and University of Washington. Between 2014 and 2016 I was an advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy and the Prime Minister\'s Office. Between 2016 and 2020, I was president of Italy’s National Institute for Public Policy Analysis (INAPP).
