Senior Data Warehouse Architect @Kubota Tractor Corporation

View department →

Grapevine, TX, US

Working with Kubota Credit Corporation (KCC) – the financial arm of Kubota Tractor Corporation – designed and deployed from the group up a departmental data warehouse with the goals of o Consolidating data from multiple upstream operational systems / vendors.o Allowing legacy reports to be migrated from Excel/Oracle BI Publisher to Microsoft Power BI.o Deploying new reports, new dashboards, and a self-service data analytics layer.• The tech stack used Azure SQL as the target system. ELT flows were orchestrated via an Azure VM server and implemented using Windows Shell scripts and Transact-SQL stored procedures. Interfacing with upstream sources was achieved invoking sqlcmd (SQL Server), SQL*Plus (Oracle), db2sql (DB2) and mongoexport (MongoDB) sessions from the spooling/loading batches, along with embedding VBS scripts and GNU Sed commands for advanced preprocessing of incoming Excel, JSON, and CSV (pipe-delimited) files. A migration to Azure Data Factory for part of the ETL pipelines is currently under evaluation.• Core responsibilities included logical and physical data modeling, scripts and store procedures development, query optimization and database tuning, SQL conversion (e.g. Oracle/DB2 to Azure SQL and vice versa), data and business analysis, mentoring client’s analysts/developers, support and troubleshooting of daily/monthly production pipelines, maintaining code and database documentation.• The project was managed via Agile sprint sessions and JIRA + ServiceNow tickets; architectural/modeling deliverables included schema-level Data Flow Diagrams and Data Models, Data Architecture Diagrams, Data Refresh Schedule Diagrams, Security Framework Diagram, and other subject-area-specific material. The project documentation was maintained in Confluence.• Onboarded data flows: Oracle Financial Services Loans & Leases (OFSLL), Automated Credit Decisioning (ACD), Kubota Tractor Acceptance Corporation (KTAC), Genesys Call Center, and others.
