As Senior Director, Medical Affairs EMEA, I\'m a therapeutic and disease expert who leads medical affairs strategies for Orchard’s investigational and approved hematopoietic stem cell gene therapy (HSC-GT) clinical programs within the EMEA region. I work in partnership with the regional/country medical affairs teams to ensure alignment and pull-though of global medical strategies within the EMEA region for supported programs. I also work in alignment with EMEA commercial leadership, ensuring medical affairs representation on cross-functional program teams, and contributing to the development of integrated program strategies. In addition to leading and managing the medical affairs team of direct reports within EMEA, I\'m also the global medical lead for MPS IH clinical program. In this role, also thanks to my professional and scientific credibility, I work in a collaborative cross-functional environment that includes Clinical Development (inc. Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance), Regulatory, Commercial (inc. Market Access). Other responsibilities of my role include setting and maintaining EMEA team performance standards, collating and provide EMEA KOL therapeutic area clinical insights, reviewing external facing EMEA materials according to the company SOP, providing EMEA input into Global Medical Affairs objectives and tactics, establishing and maintaining functional EMEA annual budgets, building and maintaining external KOL healthcare provider relationships, supporting patient advocacy efforts to build relationships with patient advocacy groups in relevant therapeutic areas and provide disease and product education, supporting diagnostic efforts to build and maintaining relationships with key diagnostic and NBS partners, supporting clinical science and clinical operations in building and maintaining key clinical trail site relationships. I\'m also still responsible for Medical Affairs in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
