As a member of the Hospitality Systems team, my role as an IT Support Specialist ensures that the supported systems are meeting and exceeding our colleague’s and guests needs and expectations.• Support and maintenance of Local Area Networks, workstations, and servers within the hotels, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to meet the needs of hotel colleagues, management, and guests.•Installation, support, and maintenance of server-based software, ensuring compatibility with Sonesta’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards.• Develop migration plans for server and product upgrades, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to minimize disruptions• Provide technical support to hotel colleagues, management, and guests, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction• Maintain and upgrade hotel IT hardware, software, and networks in accordance with Sonesta IT standards• Integration of hospitality management systems, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, reservations systems, payment processing and other related technologies.• In-depth knowledge of core Point of Sale systems: MICROS Simphony. Experience with InfoGenesis, Squirrel, and Silverware.• Rack & stack small servers/switches; Cat6 terminations and fiber patching with labeling and cable management to TIA-568.• Perform hardware break/fix; triage via ticketing, document SOPs, and close within SLA.• Manage parts & inventory during refreshes (spares, RMAs, returns) with change control.
