SKILLS
ABOUT STEFANIE HO YI CHAN
As a postdoctoral research fellow, I am currently responsible for three different projects -(1) an industrial collaboration project in cardiooncology,(2) a commercial project to develop a formulation that can cross the blood-brain barrier and access the brain, and (3) a clinical trial evaluating supplements aimed at enhancing cognitive function and exercise performance. I hold a PhD in Regulatory Science, completed through a funded academic–industry collaboration, with research focused on the cardiotoxic effects of treatments for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). My previous projects include a commercial project to develop a prenatal formulation, academic research in dry powder formulation for pulmonary drug delivery, and a multinational collaborative project with Monash University (Australia) and University of North Carolina (USA) which involves method development and validation for establishing a virtual HPLC simulator. Due to my interest in quality control and drug design, I conducted research projects on \'Quality Assurance in Oral Drug Delivery\' and \'Dry Powder Formulation of Azithromycin for Pulmonary Drug Delivery\' during my undergraduate and postgraduate study respectively.I have collaborated with interdisciplinary teams of professionals, authoring publications in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at international conferences. I have also been awarded the ‘Best Poster Award at the JPAG Pharmaceutical Analysis Research Awards and Careers Symposium 2021’, sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Royal Pharmaceutical Society.I had been elected as the Secretary of the Kingston University Cheerleading Squad for 2 years in a row, with good teamwork, time management, communication and organisational skills. I am devoted and dedicated. I commit to every activity I have taken part in, such as playing the piano and being a scout for 15 years. I have been volunteering over the past 10 years and was given several awards to praise my efforts and commitments, which proves me to be patient and caring. I am also a qualified first-aider of St. John\'s Ambulance and a Business Development & Marketing Team Member of AIESEC-UCL. I regard myself as an independent, friendly and responsible individual.
