KDI Operating Company is an organization that started to undergo a rapid growth expansion starting fall of 2020. An additional production plant with was built to grow the organization from an ultrafiltration dairy producer to a nationally competitive cheese manufacturer, producing a variety of dairy products including American, as well as Mexican Cheese products with lbs. of production per day. This expansion increased the workforce from a $4 million-dollar annual payroll to a current $ 13 million annual figure. This required streamlining all HR operations to prepare and align the organization for the upcoming rapid growth processes. The staff count increased from 40 to 190 count within 12 months. Responsible for overseeing all HR, Payroll, and Organizational Development functions for the organization. Responsible for training development, and coaching for internal leadership roles. Ongoing development and driving forward a people strategy across the company in correlation with other organization leaders to strategically support the growing needs. Ensuring that all policies and processes are focused on supporting the improvement of the employee experience across the entire life cycle. Consulting on strategic decisions to drive an engaged people culture. Proactively creating new systems and programs structured to optimize a data-driven and growing organization with a people focus front of mind. Creating goal-based reward systems that encourage employee initiative and dedication. Supporting the current workforce to ensure a decreased turnover by developing and executing retention and engagement incentives.
