WORK HISTORY
Manager, Museum Technology @Ingenium
Ottawa, ON, CA
As the team lead for Museum Technology, I am responsible for the design, deployment, and operations of all visitor-facing technologies in three national museums with over 560K annual visitors. In my role as a manager, I oversee a small team of specialists in the daily operation of our 200+ interactive exhibits, hybrid events, and large A/V displays. I was able to develop and implement several agile processes to improve the functionality of the MT group, resulting in an increased team efficiency by 20%.I helped to develop an immersive simulation game, increasing engagement time by 150%. By collaborating with our Digital Innovation Lab for research and testing, we were able to implement an inclusive and accessible design approach which was later recognized by MuseumNext for its achievements.I am currently Spearheading a $1.5M modernization strategy for visitor-facing technologies and experiences. I work directly with the Director of Digital and the VP of Digital, Public Affairs, and Corporate Operations. This is a massive project with long-term implications for the corporation. It includes the development of an innovation plan that can leverage progressive web applications and emerging technologies in interactive displays to revitalize the museum experience.
