ABOUT STEFAN HOFFMANN

Stefan Hoffmann is a Partner in the Corporate Energy & Dispute Resolution Group at Watson Farley & Williams, based in Hamburg. His practice focusses on dispute resolution and arbitration both domestically and internationally. He advises banks, investors and developers in relation to complex disputes and the enforcement of their interests before state courts as well as arbitral tribunals. His main focus is on disputes in the areas of banking and finance, joint ventures, M&A as well as engineering and construction of industrial plants and machinery. He has an distinguished track record as counsel and arbitrator in energy-related disputes, especially regarding offshore and onshore wind including energy supply contracts. Stefan advises across the entire lifecycle of a project from development to construction through to completion and operation, including Claim Management and Post-M&A conflicts. He is also regularly engaged to negotiate and settle claims in relation project contracts. Stefan is FIDIC trained and certified. Stefan chairs the Offshore Wind Dispute Resolution Committee of World Forum Offshore Wind. Stefan has also repeatedly been awarded amongst “The Best Lawyers in Germany” in the field of arbitration / dispute resolution / mediation by Best Lawyers in cooperation with renowned German business magazine Handelsblatt.
