ABOUT STEFAN BARANSKI

Thanks for stopping by and for taking a couple of minutes to learn a bit about my professional experience. I\'m proud of the work I\'ve done over the past twenty+ years, which has spanned a variety of fields and unique roles - each of which has lent fresh perspective and challenged me to do, and be better. In my career, I\'ve launched businesses, counseled political leaders and corporate executives and led teams both large and small, in the pursuit of clear objectives designed to win. Most recently, I\'ve joined Navigator Ltd, Canada\'s leading high-stakes strategic advisory and communications firm, helping clients solve their most pressing challenges. Through my private consultancy, I led the development of a strategic plan at a national healthcare organization looking to dramatically enhance its engagement with the people it serves and with its employees. I spent the better part of 10 years in the North American energy sector, where I led commercial and business development teams in natural gas, with proven success in driving record contracting and directly managing accounts in excess of $1 Billion in annual revenues. I also led external and stakeholder affairs on the project team seeking to develop an ambitious 4,200 km oil pipeline across Canada, assembling a broad network of project advocates in the process. I\'ve served as the lead public affairs advisor for an international consortium\'s 2,500MW wind and solar development in Ontario, overcoming sustained local and political opposition. In 2012, I was appointed to the Alberta Executive Council as Director of Communications for the Premier of Alberta, where I led a large team of seasoned communications professionals and directly negotiated the Alberta-British Columbia framework agreement on transporting natural resources through B.C. to global markets. I launched BespokePR, a Toronto-based consulting firm that was ultimately acquired by a national public affairs agency. And as the founder of the online news aggregator, OntarioNewsWatch.com, I have also been a regular media commentator, appearing weekly on CBC News Network, CTV News and on Toronto’s Newstalk1010 radio.I hold a Masters of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto and am the proud father of two young boys, who ensure the ideal of a good night\'s sleep remains an aspiration.
