About Steen Hudson

My mission is to assist nonprofits and the individuals who manage and staff them to achieve their objectives by developing their abilities to communicate and connect with their key constituencies, think conceptually, plan strategically and operate efficiently. I am passionate about what I do.It is tougher than ever before for nonprofits, for many reasons. But people still want to do the right thing, help others, and create meaning in their lives. The challenge is to show them that they can, even in an environment of economic uncertainty and widespread unease over societal values and the future.This cannot be accomplished with pressure, or with appeals based solely on facts and figures. Instead, nonprofits must connect with all their constituents – donors, board members, staffers, public officials, and others – on a deeply emotional level. This is the heart of the services Hudson Consulting provides. Your donors need to understand your organization’s mission, which requires crafting and telling a story that touches and motivates them. More importantly, they must feel that you truly care about them as individuals, not simply as sources of funding. Your managers and staffers must believe in what they are doing, and also be open to guidance that can help them be more effective. Your community must recognize your organization’s value and be aware of the contributions you make.
