I am the founding director of the Substitute Teaching Institute at Utah State University and owner of STEDI.org - a spin-off company from Utah State University, dedicated to train teachers including, permanent and substitute teachers, art, music, and media specialistsOur goal is to help school districts and other educational support groups to recruit, train, and retain highly effective teachers. Since over one full year of a child\'s K-12 education is taught by a substitute teacher, it is vital that these substitutes have the tools and the training to succeed as well as most permanent teachers feel inadequately prepared to enter the classroom.Specialties: My specialties include substitute teacher management, including recruiting, training, and retaining.
