ABOUT HARRY STEAD

I am a Director within Deloitte\'s Investment Management Tax practice. I have over 16 years of experience as a tax adviser, working with clients to deliver tax efficient fund structuring solutions within the institutional investment market. I specialise in providing taxation advice to investment managers, pension schemes and asset servicers; with a specific focus on large, typically institutional funds. A particular area of specialism for me is tax transparent funds (\"TTFs\"), including the UK Authorised Contractual Scheme (\"ACS\"), although I advise clients on the establishment and operation of a wide variety of fund structures in the UK and overseas. I also have experience advising on fund structuring and ongoing tax operations for a wide variety of asset classes, from listed securities to alternatives such as real estate. I work extensively with local government pension scheme pools, large corporate pension schemes, insurance groups and asset managers to design and structure investment funds.I also provide investment tax advisory services to institutional investors, helping them to understand and mitigate tax risk associated with their investments, as well as advising them on their corporate governance. More recently I have been working with a number of clients to help them design and operate open-ended alternative funds with a focus on retail distribution.
