ABOUT STAVROS KARANTONIS
I’m driven by my passion for motorsport, data, and orchestration of software. I am currently a Platform Engineer at Alpine F1 Team which allows me to combine all three. I love working with like-minded individuals in a fast-paced and innovative environment, such as the one that a Formula 1 team offers.I’ve implemented, deployed, and maintained data (ETL) pipelines for batch and realtime/streaming data, following SDLC principles, and using agile methodologies.Some technologies I’ve worked with include Python, Kafka, SQL, KDB+/q, ClickHouse, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Flux, McLaren Applied technologies, Azure DevOps, Linux.Outside of my main work at Alpine F1, I am a freelance automotive and lifestyle photographer. I am also a certified RPAS drone pilot, and have used commercial and industrial filming drones for aerial photography and videography.I’m your typical petrolhead and classic car enthusiast too - that will find any excuse to chat cars …
