I serve as the NAC Program Director at HACE CDC in Eastern North Philadelphia, where we prioritize resident-driven initiatives and development that fosters increased equity. When I arrived in 2015, I welcomed the rare opportunity to grow the program from the ground up. In that time, we have grown from a single engagement staffperson to a 5-person Community Engagement Department with various programs and projects and are recognized for our excellence in community-based development. I continually hold an intersectional lens and am propelled to work in service of justice for multiply marginalized people and communities. My responsibilities include grant writing and implementation, facilitating resident-led engagement, leadership development and related curriculum development, staff & volunteer management, data management, field-based research, and building relationships with local agencies and organizations to leverage resources for resident-centered initiatives that enhance quality of life in Fairhill, Kensington, and surrounding neighborhoods of Eastern North Philadelphia.

I believe that practicing deep listening and cultivating shared history helps us draw powerful, clarifying connections that can help us achieve necessary social change. I am contributing to building a world that practices intentionality, cultivates equity, and productively addresses harm. When I\'m not immersed in my job, I enjoy moving through the natural world, connecting with friends and loved ones, and preparing yummy, nourishing foods. I am always learning and interested in embracing a nuanced perspective and receptivity to what I encounter.
