Physicians are faced with very challenging yet very exciting time in US health care due to a necessity for change in care delivery and huge flux of elderly in all settings of health care. As a geriatrician, the impact of this transition has become very real - presenting a challenge we deal with on a daily basis. My personal goal is to provide the best care possible and to educate future workforce to do the same. I am on a mission to use all my experiences and skills to make an impact in geriatric care. To succeed in this, I believe in use of rapidly advancing (mobile) technology. Nevertheless, I also strongly feel we need to humanize ‘technological’ medicine. To achieve this critical goal, we will need to understand and employ connectedness of patients and providers (in all possible combinations) by using newly emerging social networks and media.

   internist with subspecialty training and board certification in geriatric medicine, providing primary care for elderly; inpatient and outpatient consults on geriatric syndromes including cognitive evaluation, urinary incontinence, hospital delirium, frailty, falls and late life mood disorders.
