Star Jones is an attorney, former New York city homicide prosecutor, business executive, best-selling author, and an Emmy award nominated TV host who has worked in media & communications for 30 years. Ms. Jones started her network television career at the NBC Today Show in 1992 and has appeared on TV (as a network correspondent, host, commentator, or advocate) every year since. In 2022, Ms. Jones was tapped to become the host of Divorce Court, the longest-running television court show of all time. Best known to television viewers for her candor, confidence, and uncanny ability to clarify complex legal and social issues, Ms. Jones was an original co-host of ABC’s The View for nine years and is a Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame inductee. She is also President of Girlfriend Entertainment Productions, Inc, her own programming, and production company.In 2022, President Joe Biden appointed Ms. Jones, Chair & Commissioner, U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. She served in this capacity from 2022-24. She is also the former president and a member of the Board of Directors of Professional Diversity Network, Inc.(Nasdaq: IPDN) and the International Association of Women. A committed advocate of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of business, she is a co-founder and principal of the Instant Impact Group, LLC, a consultancy firm that assists individuals and companies build their diversity, equity & inclusion programs. Through her consultancy firm, Ms. Jones was Executive Editor for Marquis Who’s Who, the world\'s premier publisher of biographical profiles for over 120 years.In 2010, Ms. Jones underwent successful open-heart surgery and for over a decade, she has been the National Volunteer of the American Heart Association, using her name, voice, time and international media platform to champion Heart Health in America. Ms. Jones is a former member of the international editorial board of the Women\'s Forum for the Economy & Society and was a U.S. representative to the Women in Africa initiative. She is also a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A frequent and highly sought-after motivational speaker, Ms. Jones lectures and leads discussions around the world on a variety of socially conscious topics including, law, politics, race, gender equality, women’s empowerment, pop culture, networking, and heart health. She makes her home in East Hampton with her spouse, attorney & Administrative Law Judge Ricardo Lugo, their son Jake, and their Maltese Mimi.

   Star Jones is the Host/Judge of “Divorce Court” for the 24th Season starting Fall 2022 providing judgement for all the cases brought to mediation on the program, ranging from divorce court proceedings to other domestic disputes. “Divorce Court” is currently sold in 205 markets, covering 98% of the country across various station groups including Fox, CBS, Sinclair, Gray, Nexstar, Tegna, Scripps, Cox, and the CW Plus. “Divorce Court” is the longest running court show on television, reinventing itself three times on daytime TV (airing from 1957 to 1969, from 1985 to 1992 and currently, since It dates back to late 1950’s when actors used to reenact real divorce proceedings for television. Today, the program is comprised of real people and real cases. Currently in its 23rd season, “Divorce Court” is produced in midtown Atlanta at the Georgia Public Broadcasting Studios.
