I believe that leadership begins with curiosity. The more I learn about people—their work, their challenges, their families, and their sense of purpose—the better I’m able to support the teams and communities I serve. That mindset has shaped every step of my journey across multiple roles at BECU, and it continues to guide how I show up as an NFC Manager in Tacoma.Over the years, I’ve learned that financial well‑being is just as much about confidence and clarity as it is about dollars and cents. In Tacoma, I see every day how much people value being understood and treated with respect. Those human moments matter, and they influence how I lead my team and how we connect with the community.My work centers on developing people—helping employees grow into their potential, building strong team culture, and creating an environment where great service emerges naturally from trust and support. I’m especially passionate about coaching, peer development, and creating opportunities for others to stretch into new strengths.Outside the branch, I stay connected through community partnerships, volunteering, continuous learning, and writing about leadership and personal growth. Whether it’s supporting local events, listening to Tacoma’s small‑business owners talk about their realities, or simply reflecting on something I learned in a recent book, I’m always looking for ways to bring curiosity—and humanity—into the work.If there’s a theme that runs through it all, it’s this:Communities thrive when people choose to show up for one another—and I consider it a privilege to be part of that work here in Tacoma.
