About Nannette Stangle-Castor
I am a strategy advisor for early stage entrepreneurs, as well as an investor. Inspired by my successful 20+ year entrepreneurial journey that has guided the commercialization of hundreds of technologies from NASA, US Army, DOE, and university labs, I help entrepreneurs be successful through informed and intentional decision-making. I’ve served as Board Advisor and mentor to numerous organizations spanning academia, startups, healthcare organizations, and nonprofits, bringing deep expertise in the understanding of complex technologies across all industry sectors to drive market acceptance and success for my clients and partners. As the founder of IVT, a woman-owned small business, I’ve won and led multiple government contracts and served as a Connector supporting the Department of Energy’s American-Made Challenges – a program that fast tracks innovations. My commitment to bettering the patient and caregiver experience resulted in me serving as leader of Patient Advisory Councils (both the health system and oncology) for a decade at Duke University Hospitals. I have expertise across a broad range of key areas, including intellectual property management, licensing, and negotiation; go-to-market strategy; process optimization and efficiency; and translation of technologies for effective communications. I am grateful to have been recognized with excellence awards from NASA, Duke, Women in Business, and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. My volunteer efforts focus on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a special focus on supporting women and underrepresented founders. Everything I do revolves around my motto: Be intentional, be authentic, and be impactful.
