30+ years of retail leadership. 20 yrs at District manager / Director level. Leading change, driving high end results, developing talent and creating partnerships that advance the overall goal.I have only been with three companies in my career, as I pride myself on loyalty and dedication. I spent 23yrs in leadership at Kmart, 3 yrs as an RVP for a family owned business and now 19 yrs in Leadership at Kohls. I do not have a college listed as I did not go to college. Instead I went in to the working world and started at the bottom. Through handwork, time and dedication I elevated myself to DM in 2 different companies, RVP in one and then elevated to VP-DM(current position) Therefore I competed with those with degrees and was blessed to move myself through the ranks despite my lack of a degree. I pride myself on common sense and doing the right thing. My overall philosophy is to surround myself with greatness. I have promoted 3 SM\'s to District manager and numerous others to leadership positions outside of Kohls.My biggest strength is developing talent and making people successful. In my tenure as a VP-DM at Kohls I have created an environment of developing talent to the next level. I was assigned my current market in 2013 and took it from one of the lowest performing district in the company to top 10%, top 20%, top 30%. Never in anything below that over the past 11 yrs. In taking over this market I turned 85% of the leadership in the first 14mo. That is not to be considered an accomplishment, but more of a need to move the market forward. In the past 9 years I have only hired hired 2 externals and all of my leadership elevations have been internal. I have SM\'s who were cashiers and are now running high performing stores. I follow the 70/20/10 rule when developing talent. That has been a very effective talent approach for me over the years. I currently oversee 16 store.8 in OKC market, 3 in Tulsa market, 4 in Wichita market and just opened up an new location in Garden City, KS. I live in Afton, OK on grand lake, therefore I am close to Missouri, Arkansas markets as well.

   Leading the operations of 16 stores. I opened up a new store fall 2023. I have taken 2 districts to #1 and #2 in the company. First was in 2012 and then transferred to a focus district and in 5 years took the district to #2 in the company. I pride myself on- Developing sustainable talent- Driving profitability- Being agile within the environment by fostering change- Being innovative in order to be more efficient- Creating partnerships to advance the vision.
