About Stan Emert

Stan Emert is initial director of the Sports Enterprise Management program at the Milgard School of Business, University of Washington (Tacoma). Formerly, he was the executive director of the Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility He started the CSR group at Symetra Financial and led the company to regional and national awards in sustainability. Emert is also an instructor at the Milgard School of Business where he focuses on management, international business, business strategy and negotiations. Emert is the creator of RAINMAKERS.TV, a nonprofit documentary and interview TV/video series that celebrates the successes of people at all levels of the economic pyramid. His interview subjects included a wide variety of people from government, media, NGOs, authors, celebrities, etc.Finally, Emert is a global business and communications veteran. He consults with on placing profitable, job-creating green technologies throughout the world, and has focused on helping to remove waste tires and plastics from the planet. He is the Executive Vice President for Strategy for USWTE.He has spoken on business social responsibility before the World Bank, the US Chamber of Commerce, the American Film Institute, and to many other significant audiences around the US.He is the author of two books, and the ghostwriter of five others. He has a BA in History from Tusculum University, and a JD from the University of Tennessee.

   Rainmakers is a PBS-style documentary series about successes. The woman who carries the water from the stream; the NGO who is trying to help build a water system; the donor to the NGO - are all rainmakers. Rainmakers is available on Seattle area TV and across the world online.Rainmakers regularly visits the Clinton Global Initiative and the Hilton Humanitarian Awards. Through Rainmakers interviews, Emert finds stories from known world leaders and those who will be known. In each case, there are stories of work that makes the world a better place.Profiles in Philanthropy is a continuing aspect of Rainmakers that talks with people who inspire others.We continue to interview great people working in partnership to help give the world a better future.Visit for more info.
