Working as part of the Warranty Management and Product Integrity team within SiemensGamesa Renewable Energy Ltd (formerly Siemens Wind Power). The role is responsible for the commercial management of various contractual claims, in regard to claims received and claims to be submitted, relating to both Customer and Supplier engagement. The role has also been developed to include taking the lead in the management and closure activities for assigned projects as they move to their end of Warranty under the Sale Agreement; with many of these being high value and of a complex nature. The management of claims and Warranty closures requires a sound understanding of technical, commercial, financial, operational, contractual and legal issues - with a developed awareness of any associated strategic considerations in relation to claim settlement/resolution. For those matters where it is agreed a contractual obligation exists under an Agreement, the role includes coordination of any remedial works agreed and the finalisation of any settlement agreements reached to fulfil such obligation. Located at the Head Office for Customer Service in Newcastle upon Tyne the role, which originally focused upon the UK and Ireland region, has expanded to provide support to the Operational and Project teams who have specific site responsibilities for wind turbine power plant across the entire Northern European and Middle Eastern (‘NE & ME’) region.
