ABOUT MARIA MORGUNOVA

Degree: Master of Arts. Theatre-Production, Film/Video-production, Broadcasting & Journalism. An award-winning filmmaker. Awards: 2019 - AIPS Sport Media,(writing a best column) 2017 – ALTFF Best Documentary; 2017 - NOLLYWOOD Festival – Finalist; 2017 - Documentary without Borders – awarded for the Best Direction. Since 2008 I have been a Toronto-based film and stage director with strong project management expertise. Since 2014 I have been working as a marketing video producer. My videos help business owners to promote their products and services online. I produce corporate videos, commercials, testimonials, product presentations, educational videos or live events to help increase their sales and attract new customers. Theatrical production includes opera stage directing, costume production and design of digital backgrounds(projection). I have experience in opera stage directing, management of production and creating of digital backdrops. I am skilled in developing a concept of the performance, project management, coaching actors and singers, reading music scores/claviers and playing piano. Usually, I’m responsible for the overall practical and creative interpretation of a musical score. Working on the implementation of any project I’m involved in the whole process, from the concept development, design and pre-production stages, right through to the final performance which connects with the audience.
