About Stacy Sheard
Highly experienced Helicopter Captain & Test Pilot. Serving 9 years on the Board of Directors & Chairman of the Board for Vertical Aviation International (VAI), I concentrate on creating in-roads, connections and International alliances in Vertical Aviation. Endeavoring to improve low-level IFR access and expand the low-level route infrastructure for helicopters, as well as for the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM).As the founder of the VAI Military-to-Civilian Transition Workshop Program, I\'ve worked to smoothly bring the experience of military aviators into to the global vertical aviation industry and simultaneously help resolve the workforce shortages of pilots and aviation maintenance technicians/engineers.As Chair for Government Affairs at the EASTERN REGION HELICOPTER COUNCIL INC, my role centers on advocating for Northeastern U.S. vertical aircraft operators. This includes pioneering improvements in low-level IFR infrastructure, which is critical for helicopters and emerging urban air mobility. Our efforts have been instrumental in shaping the future of aviation, ensuring safety, and enhancing operational efficiency. In my capacity as IFR Committee Chair, I have been at the forefront of developing low-level IFR routing infrastructure. My professional journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of innovation and strategic alliances that bolster the vertical aviation sector.
