I\'ve worked across media, arts and education organizations helping them realize ambitious programming plans, and cultivate partnerships and engage new audiences. I have significant expertise in narrative storytelling, in development and fundraising, in building trust in hard-to-access communities, in finding and developing talent, and bringing together diverse sets of stakeholders. I have deep roots in public media and audio journalism and education. I love starting and growing stuff. I\'ve edited and produced programming across multiple platforms and in a range of physical spaces- libraries, theaters, hospitals, museums, classrooms, houses of worship etc. At the heart of my work is a passion for storytelling that brings people together, fosters empathy, creates connection and helps to bridge divides. I have 20+ years of experience- launching new media initiatives - using storytelling to amplify the voices of regular people- strategy and partnerships- nonprofit management- building and mentoring teams- long-term vision planning- editorial direction- the intersection between storytelling and community engagement- local and citizen journalism- working with editors, reporters and community members - managing multiple initiatives simultaneously- branding, marketing, and publicity strategy- raising money/board developmentI thrive in fast-paced, fluid environments. I\'ve authored and edited books, produced citywide festivals, award-winning radio documentaries, live events, museum exhibits, youth media programs, conferences, and campaigns. My radio work has appeared on Morning Edition, All Things Considered and The Brian Lehrer Show. I\'ve edited and reported stories for Bright at Medium, The New York Times, Open Letters Harpers, ProPublica, the New York Observer and Guilt & Pleasure Magazine.
