About Stacie Simpson
Stacie Simpson is a director at WeHaKee Camp for Girls in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Following a transition summer in 2026, she will guide the next chapter of WeHaKee’s tradition of emboldening young women through meaningful camp experiences.Stacie brings a deep commitment to youth development and a passion for building communities where everyone feels they belong. She comes to Camp WeHaKee with over two decades of camp experience across Girl Scouts, YMCA, and private camp organizations. Her leadership roles have included directing camps in Wisconsin and Illinois, overseeing multiple sites, and recently she is serving as a Director at YMCA Camp Greenville in South Carolina. There, she focused on clear, compassionate communication with camper families and easing the anxieties that can come with time away from home.Stacie has a wide variety of professional experience outside of camp as well, serving as the founding board chair of Trailhead Community Farm School, a nonprofit school for neurodivergent students that combines academics, therapeutic support, and outdoor education. She is a certified Focus coach, a certified Forest Therapy practitioner, and an active member of the American Camp Association. When not at camp, Stacie lives in Milwaukee with her husband and co-director, Cory Harrison, her teenage stepson Caleb, and their silly pit bull Moose.
