Summary- Manage DRG validation and analysis- Manage APC validation and analysis- Training support for EPIC optimization - Maintain a tracking and training method that has resulted in 95% coding accuracy for over coders- Support coding staff and new employees in all outpatient and inpatient coding types- Provide monthly education to coding staff (and other departments as needed)- Create and maintain HIM procedures, policies, SOPs and job aids- Prepare audit summary reports; detailing results, findings and recommendations- Manage, track and trend inpatient and outpatient denials/audits and appeals - Use various programs such as: EPIC, McKesson STAR, 3M 360, Cerner, HPF, ePremis, GPS, Microsoft products (including Excel, PowerBI and Sharepoint), Allscripts, Powerchart, Eclypsis, Cerner/Lynx, Medisoft, Meditech, Invision, Trucode, eCharms, DAR, etc- Assist in analyzing data for coding, charging and documentation risk analysis as well as logic creation- Review NCCI and medical necessity edits- Participate in coding assessments for potential clients
