I am Stacey Montgomery, and I am a mom.Some people describe themselves as “just a mom.” I shutter when I hear that.I am screaming that I am a mom! That is my power! That is why I do what I do.My journey started when my son, who is neurodivergent, faced bullying and struggled with self-acceptance during his school years. It broke my heart knowing that he felt like he needed to change to fit in. The strategies that his school used to help him with his social interactions increased his feelings of discomfort and self-doubt. His confidence plummeted and his anxiety increased.As a result of my son’s experiences, I became a mom on a mission to help ensure that kids understand their value so that they will take brave action toward their goals:\'?\'. Since then, I\'ve taught over 50 workshops to Girl Scout troops, youth groups, summer camps, cotillion programs, elementary schools, and after school programs. Workshops include: Owning You Power Different is Awesome What are Your Big Dreams? What Makes You a Leader?Each of my resources helps kids believe in themselves and encourages them to take brave steps toward their goals and make a positive impact on the community?
