Responsible for developing, managing and supporting newsroom projects and tools designed to enhance and maintain the performance, reliability and functionality of print and web publishing components to provide a seamless publishing environment. Tasks include:• Analyzing newsroom and production requirements and design and code solutions that are efficient and intuitive for users, as well as reliable, manageable, and cost-effective.• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot integrations with advertising, photo, output and other systems. Engineer and build solutions from complex requirements and support the reliability of these solutions in production settings. Devise creative solutions to difficult challenges.• Track and resolve system and workflow issues. Resolve complex application and system problems under deadline pressure, exercising independent judgement.• Implement systems projects and be responsible for delivering services and products on schedule.• Keep up to date with the latest technologies, relevant platforms, tools and products and evaluate their application to newsroom systems and environment.
