Develop wellness program for Internal Medicine residents in our training program. Will provide weekly wellness tips, monthly wellness outings, and monthly lectures to share the importance of self care and personal health. I will work along side of our core Internal Medicine faculty as we prepare our residents for independent practice. Medicine is a high stress environment with high rates of untreated mental illness. My hope is to show each individual physician ways to give themselves permission to care for themselves so they are emotionally, physically and spiritually able to show up for their patients.
