About Stacey McClure

Leader and director for the Human Resources division at the Texas General Land Office. I empower my team as we implement HR strategies at the GLO. My expertise includes recruitment, on-boarding, employee benefits, employee relations, talent management, training, leadership development and compensation. While at Texas Department of Transportation, I consulted with the agency on compensation, classification, workforce planning and succession management. With more than 20 years of progressive leadership and management, organizational development and workforce planning experience in the public sector, I enjoy helping others grow to meet their potential. As a consultant for HR Compensation Consultants, LLC; I brought a wealth of experience as a practitioner and a consultant to government at the state and local levels. Stacey specialized in the full compensation lifecycle including strategy, planning, analysis, implementation, and assessment. She consulted with over 50 organizations in the management and optimization of total compensation and pay-for-performance plans. During Stacey’s tenure at the Texas State Auditor’s Office, she modernized and maintained one of the largest compensation and classification systems in Texas. She analyzed workforce issues for the State’s employees. Stacey provided expert testimony to the State’s senate finance and house appropriations committees on the State’s classification and compensation plan. She also advised more than 100 executive and judicial state agencies. During her tenure at a consulting firm in Dallas, Texas, I provided Human Resources Professional Services for public sector clients to determine the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures. I also created and modified compensation plan and performance management systems that were cost effective and consistent with Human Resources trends.
