I have extensive experience in every key jurisdiction in the United States, and including the Federal Circuit. I have also managed foreign litigations in Germany, France, and India. My representative engagements include:*Represented plaintiff in patent litigation filed in Western District of Texas. Defeated defendant’s motion to transfer, litigated through denial of mandamus relief before Federal Circuit. Case settled on favorable terms while summary judgment motions were pending.*Represented plaintiff in in foreign litigations with patents asserted in Germany, France, and India.Managed and coordinated foreign counsel to ensure consistent work product across jurisdictions. Cases ended with favorable settlement for client.*Represented defendant, a Silicon Valley tech company, in copyright dispute against photographer. Case settled on favorable terms on eve of hearing on Rule 12(c) motion which raised novel question under DMCA.*Represented patent owner before Federal Circuit in appeal from PTAB final written decision.*Represented defendant and cross-complainant in patent litigation resulting in successful multimillion dollar jury award to client on its patent infringement counterclaim against plaintiff.*Provided general IP counsel to wide range of clients in software, logistics, apparel, and other industries.Regularly consulted on pre-litigation settlement discussions, routinely helping clients avoid litigation by arriving at practical and efficient resolutions of complex disputes.*Represented leading home health care provider in misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract action against competitor. Successfully obtained TRO and stipulated preliminary injunction.*Represented plaintiff in an excessive force case under the 8th Amendment, and obtained rare jury verdict awarding plaintiff compensatory and punitive damages.*Represented hardware design company and patent owner against smartphone manufacturer in years-long International Trade Commission and district court litigation. After defeating motions for summary judgment, team obtained favorable settlement on the eve of trial.*Represented startup and key executives in multi-jurisdictional lawsuit brought by former employer. Consolidated dispute in home forum after dismissing duplicative suits brought in rival forums.
