ABOUT SANJAY SINHO

Dr. Sanjay Sinho has over 29 + years of experience in the development sectors with special emphasis in international public health, with especial interest in; a) Organizational management, strategic planning, fund raising, representation, policy and advocacy, monitoring and evaluation. b) Public Health; Use of participatory methodologies to empower communities through design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs in Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, Infectious Diseases & Sexual and Reproductive health. Dr Sinho currently works as Senior consultant Global Public Health. Before this he was Senior Technical Advisor Child Health and Nutrition at International Rescue Committee Prior to this he was Dean Policy and Partnership, International Institute of Health Management Research Before IIHMR Dr. Sinho was Deputy Director of Policy, Advocacy and Government relations at Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation New Delhi, India He served as the Chief Executive Officer at American India Foundation (http://aif.org) from April 2008 to December 2012 based out of New York. AIF works in education, livelihood, public health and leadership development in India. Prior to AIF, he was the Director for Health in CARE -USA based out of Atlanta, where he provided oversight to it\'s expansive health portfolio of more than 250 projects in 50 + countries. In his early professional career he had spent time as a practicing pediatrician in Bhopal and had also worked as documentation expert for victims affected by Bhopal Gas Tragedy (union carbide) and as Regional Manager Primary Health Care unit and Primary Health Care Training Coordinator in CARE at Delhi and Bhopal respectively. Sanjay holds a bachelor’s degree in general medicine and surgery (MBBS) and Masters degrees in Pediatrics (MD) and Sociology (MA) from Bhopal university.
