I work with Dr. Christopher Brazel and Dr. Ryan Summers regarding fatty acid production in genetically modified E. coli cells. The research I have focused on revolves around finding the ideal growth conditions to optimize the production of fatty acids in the E. coli and then extracting the fatty acids from the E. coli. I have also developed presentation skills via presenting at RRS Live through the Randall Research Scholars Program and at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) conference hosted by The University of Alabama.
