ABOUT SAJJAD SATVATI

I am a registered professional engineer in California, Texas, Arizona, Washington, Nevada, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Michigan. For the past 13 years, I worked as a geotechnical engineer and project manager across the West, Southwest, Midwest, and Middle East. My focus is on practical and constructible geotechnical solutions that keep projects moving, reduce uncertainty, and support responsible infrastructure growth in fast-developing regions.I hold a Ph.D. and M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from Iowa State University and have over a decade of experience leading subsurface investigations, foundation design, slope stability, retaining structures, and pavement engineering. At CEC in Phoenix, I lead geotechnical services for public- and private-sector clients across transportation, utilities, vertical development, mining, and linear infrastructure. I work closely with owners, contractors, and design teams to align geotechnical recommendations with constructability, cost control, and long-term performance.Recent efforts include managing geotechnical programs for large-scale facilities, residential developments, tailings and mine infrastructure, and complex earthwork and shoring projects. Along with technical delivery, I am actively engaged in business development and client partnerships, helping position CEC to support growth in western markets. I am highly experienced with settlement analysis, seismic evaluation, slope stability and ground improvement modeling, and design of shallow and deep foundations using tools such as Settle3, RS2, Slide2, LPile, Shoring Suite, Snail, and gINT. My work is driven by clear communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to helping clients build confidently in challenging geologic conditions.
