Act as the strategic owner for delivery, operations, workforce, tools, and client success across data labeling programs. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership • Define and execute the long-term vision for data annotation services aligned with company goals. • Drive innovation in annotation methods (e.g, hybrid models using automation, AI agents, HITL). • Evaluate and onboard new tools, platforms, and AI-assisted annotation technologies. Operational Management • Oversee end-to-end annotation operations (image, video, text, LiDAR, audio, etc.). • Implement scalable workflows with quality checks, productivity metrics, and compliance gates. • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and quality benchmarks. Team Leadership & Development • Manage cross-functional teams, including project managers, QA leads, annotators, and automation engineers. • Set up hiring, training, and career development plans for in-house and outsourced teams. • Build a strong leadership bench and culture of ownership and excellence. Client Engagement & Delivery • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to gather annotation requirements. • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of labeled datasets. • Translate customer feedback into improvements in pipeline or workforce training. Quality Assurance & Governance • Design multi-level quality validation processes (manual & automated). • Implement error analysis frameworks and continuous improvement strategies. • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Technology & Automation • Collaborate with engineering and data science to integrate auto-labeling tools, LLMs, and agentic AI workflows. • Optimize annotation pipelines using scripting, APIs, and custom plugins.
