About Sruthi Jayaraj
I am a researcher in the Environmental Engineering stream, with MS and PhD degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India. My research interests encompass air quality monitoring and measurement, dispersion modeling, emission inventories, risk assessment, and air quality management.During my doctoral studies, I have been involved in multiple collaborative projects, contributing to air quality management and sustainability advancements. I have focused on comprehensive research including the characterization, modeling, and management techniques for reducing volatile organic compounds at urban fuel stations. This work included temporal assessments, chemical characterization, dispersion modeling, and health risk assessments to formulate effective air quality management frameworks.I have also gained industry experience as the CTO of Envitran Smart Systems Pvt Ltd, where I led the development of innovative air pollution control technologies. My work in this role was recognized with the grant of a patent for an air pollution control system.
