About Srushti Kothavade
I chose psychology early - not by chance, but by curiosity. I’ve always been drawn to the why behind human behavior: why people feel deeply, speak the way they do, and act as they act. What began as interest grew into commitment, and psychology became both my academic path and the lens through which I understand people and society. My learning has extended far beyond classrooms. It has lived in research papers and journals, hospital settings and NGOs, workshops and assessments, and in carefully written case studies grounded in real human experiences. Alongside this academic grounding, I discovered another constant in my work: writing. From academic and clinical writing to business and narrative writing, I have learned to translate complex ideas into meaningful stories. As a co-author of Sakhi, a book on women entrepreneurs, I interviewed over 40 women, documented their journeys, and shaped their experiences into authentic, impactful narratives - a project that strengthened my skills in business storytelling, ethical representation, and long-form writing. At the same time, my work in mental health organizations introduced me to content creation, editing, and social media engagement, where psychology meets awareness and communication drives change.Today, my interests sit at the intersection of psychology, mental health, research, and content creation. I enjoy building bridges - between science and storytelling, data and dialogue, awareness and action. Whether through therapy-adjacent work, academic research, business narratives, or digital content, I aim to make mental health conversations accessible, responsible, and human - especially within the Indian context.Outside work, I swim, read obsessively, listen deeply, and learn continuously. At heart, I am an aspiring psychologist and a storyteller, committed to understanding people and making that understanding matter.
