As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager at TaxAct, I lead multiple remote teams of engineers and operations professionals in delivering reliable, scalable, and secure solutions for the online tax preparation platform. With over 15 years of experience in software development, application support, and performance improvement, I have a passion for solving complex business challenges with innovative technologies and methodologies.I have successfully transitioned them from a production support model to a SRE model, establishing and publishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) that promote accountability, observable, Incident response to maximize customer satisfaction. I have also automated and optimized solutions to increase reliability, reduce manual effort, and enable faster delivery of features and enhancements. In addition, I have leveraged my Lean Six Sigma and Scrum Master certifications to implement agile and lean practices across my teams and collaborate effectively with multiple business units and stakeholders.
