Currently at Trafigura working as Team Lead in the deals desk department at Mumbai. Managing the Distillates team, responsible for keeping track of daily price movements in the market and mitigating risks of market volatility through hedging. Additional responsibilities include profit maximisation through understanding market dynamics and publishing the profit-loss statement. Studied Masters in International Law and Economics at World Trade Institute in Bern and interned at the International Trade Centre. Have previously completed a Masters in Chemical Engineering from University of Manchester and worked in the oil trading industry with Trafigura.Previously, at Trafigura worked as an Oil Operator out of the Mumbai office, responsible for the gasoil and jet supplies in West Africa and the fuel supplies in the Mediterranean region. Developed key internal processes throughout my tenure in collaboration with other departments in the fields of market risk management, financial control and contracts.Worked at Reliance as part of the industrial year at their Hazira petrochemical complex on the naphtha cracker. Developed a key analytical report in order to improve productivity and profitability.Have additional working experience as intern at Ernst and Young in their Transactional Advisory team in Mumbai helping stressed companies manage their debts through central bank authorised restructuring schemes. Also, have internship experience at Aker Solutions working on designing heat exchangers and temperature profiles.Have a keen and passionate interest in education and children welfare having worked with two Mumbai based NGOs. An active member of a volunteer driven NGO, The Candle Project, working on educating the children from less privileged backgrounds. Have volunteered for Pratham, helping rescue and educating child labourers.
