I\'m Sriya, an aspiring software developer and CS major in NJIT\'s honors college! I\'m actively pursuing opportunities for internships, feel free to reach out to connect! Having discovered a profound passion for programming through CS courses, I am eager to leverage my academic achievements, deep learning research experience, and diverse skill set in the field.I am proficient in Python, Java, C++, SQL, GitHub, Linux, Jupyter Notebook, and much more, while relevant coursework in data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, etc. has further fortified my foundation to the point where I am a tutor for the NJIT Ying Wu College of Computing. Through practical experience in my deep learning-based role in the NJIT Wei Lab identifying genetic variants related to coronary artery disease, and active participation in NJIT’s competitive programming team and numerous hackathons, I\'ve cultivated a robust skill set bridging theoretical knowledge and practical applications in computer science, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. My team won the “Authorities in Algorithmic Analysis” award for our project in Schrödinger’s Hacking The Gender Stack which identified the most chemically-relevant substructures in any given molecule while also generating visuals of these substructures overlaid on top of the molecule. I’ve also developed an interpreter for a simplified language and have built an optimized car rental service relational database and UI from client requirements.
